What does SiteCare check every day?
Every morning SiteCare checks that your site is up, that its SSL certificate is valid, that every visit lands on the secure HTTPS version, that no pages or links are broken, and that recent restore points exist. The results go in your log. Bug fixes, broken links and security updates are handled for you; improvements come to you for approval.
What do I actually have to do?
Very little. Upkeep runs on its own: the checks, uptime, restore points, bug and broken-link fixes, and security updates, all logged. Improvements such as copy or design changes come to you as one short note with the reason, and ship once you say yes. New pages are built when you ask for them.
Will anything change on my site without me seeing it first?
Only upkeep: bug fixes, broken-link fixes and security and software updates, each tested on a preview copy first and logged so you can see it. Anything that changes what your site says or how it looks (copy, design, layout) waits for your yes, and new pages are built only when you ask.
What do I actually get for $3,000 a month?
SiteCare AI includes the daily checks, the monthly report, and us making improvements each month once you approve them, and building new pages when you ask: up to 10 small improvements (copy, design and search tweaks) and up to 2 new pages built from an existing template, such as a news post or another service page. New sections or templates are scoped and quoted separately. Every change is logged. It suits sites that are a real source of customers. If yours isn't yet, Growth Insights or Maintenance is probably the better fit, and we'll say so on the call.
What counts as a small improvement, and what is a new page?
A small improvement is a change to something that already exists, such as a copy edit or a small design tweak. Bug fixes and security updates don't count against it; they're upkeep. A new page is one built from a template your site already has, such as a news post or another service page. Building a new section or template is bigger work, so we scope and quote it first. Unused updates don't roll over.
How is the monthly report different from the ones agencies send?
It's short and in plain English. It says what's working, what to fix, and why, in order of what matters most. You can see a sample on this page.
How do I know the recommendations are worth paying for?
Each one comes with the reason and the effort it takes, so you can judge it before saying yes. If a month has nothing worth fixing, the report says that too.
Is $100 a month just hosting with a nicer name?
It includes managed hosting and SSL, five daily checks, restore points and the log, plus bug fixes, broken-link fixes and security updates done by us and logged.
Do I need a monthly plan?
Yes. Every site we build is hosted with us, so Maintenance at $100 a month is the minimum. It covers hosting, SSL, the daily checks, restore points, and routine fixes and security updates. Changes beyond routine fixes are scoped and quoted per request.
What if I need a change my plan doesn't cover?
Tell us what you need. We scope it and send a quote before any work starts, and nothing is billed until you approve it.
Can you look after the site I already have?
Not yet. SiteCare is for sites KRIBA & Co builds, so we know exactly what's under the hood. A rebuild estimate is the place to start.
What happens if I cancel?
Give 30 days' notice and the plan ends, including hosting with us. You keep the site, the code, the domain and the content, and can host it anywhere.
Is there a long contract?
No. Plans are month-to-month: give 30 days' notice and the plan ends. Once the build is paid, the site, the code, the domain and the content are yours.
Is the AI doing the work?
No. SiteCare is software that collects and sorts the data every day. People read it, handle the upkeep, decide what to recommend, and do the improvements you approve.
What accessibility level do you build to?
Client builds target WCAG 2.1 AA. kriba.co itself currently targets WCAG A while it's being rebuilt, and we'd rather tell you that than overstate it.
Can I switch plans?
Yes. You can move up or down at the start of any month.
